` Volunteer – Spanish Colonial Arts Society

Our volunteers at the Spanish Colonial Arts Society make all the difference. We’re a nonprofit arts and culture organization, nearly a hundred years old, with deep roots in our community. All areas of our organization benefit from the service of our volunteers, and our volunteers say their work with us is deeply rewarding.

“Being a docent at the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art has given me the opportunity to learn more about our history and to share it with visitors from many places. I was fortunate to have trained as a docent before the museum opened in 2002.”

Elizabeth F. Trujillo

Museum docents take educational trips, like this visit to Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument Mission church of Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción at Quarai, built 1627-1632.
